Privacy Policy

Who we are

WagRead is provided by AlphaKernel Development Inc. If you need help or want to exercise a privacy right, use in-app Help & feedback first. If you cannot use the app, email lukeedward645+wagread@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account information. Your Supabase user ID and, if you sign in permanently, your account email or Sign in with Apple identifier/email relay.
• Dog profile. The dog profile you enter, such as name, breed and age.
• Photos you choose to read. For a mood read, the app sends a resized JPEG copy of the selected photo to WagRead's Supabase Edge Function for analysis. For a health check, it sends resized JPEG copies of the selected angle photos. The app stores read photos locally on your device for your chart; the database stores the local file name with the result.
• Reads and health checks. Saved mood reads, health checks, dates, AI results, visible signs, scores and related dog profile IDs are stored in WagRead's database so your chart and vet summary work.
• Purchase status. Apple handles payment. WagRead mirrors subscription status, product IDs and transaction IDs to its database so Pro access works across sessions.
• Feedback. If you send Help & feedback, WagRead stores the type, title, message, user ID and account email if available.
• First-party product analytics. WagRead records app events such as screen views, taps, funnel steps, read results, health-check results, reminder changes and purchase events. These events are linked to your WagRead user ID when available and are used for product analytics only.

AI analysis

Photos are processed through WagRead's server-side functions. Those functions use Google's Gemini API to analyze the photo and dog profile context and return the read. Do not use WagRead for emergencies or as a substitute for veterinary care.

Service providers

• Supabase for authentication, database, storage-related infrastructure and Edge Functions.
• Google Gemini API for AI analysis of selected photos and dog profile context.
• Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store downloads, StoreKit subscriptions and payments.
• Resend only if email sending is enabled later.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not use ad SDKs or track you across other apps and websites.
• We do not use your photos to diagnose, treat or provide veterinary care.

Retention and deletion

WagRead keeps your account data, dog profiles, reads, health checks, purchase mirror rows, analytics events and feedback while your account exists, unless you delete them through the app where available. In the app, go to your dog's tab → Delete account to remove the account and its data. The app also removes local read images from your device when you delete the account.

Children

WagRead is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us through the app or by email.

Security

WagRead uses account-based access controls and encrypted connections. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive medical or emergency information through WagRead.

International transfers

WagRead's providers may process information in countries other than yours. By using WagRead, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed where those providers operate.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date will change. Significant changes may also be announced in the app or on this site.
